Afro Puff Treats began as a small business with a big goal: to grow its presence and establish a recognizable brand. To begin, I met with the owner to learn about her vision for the business—its mission, audience, and personality. We explored competitor brands she admired and discussed how her own brand could stand out while still feeling authentic to her voice.

With this foundation in place, I translated her goals into a cohesive visual identity. I designed logos, defined a color palette, and selected typography that captured the warmth and playfulness of the brand. These elements became the building blocks for every customer touchpoint moving forward.

To bring the brand to life, I photographed the products and designed packaging labels, thank-you cards, Instagram highlight covers, and a series of Instagram posts. Each piece was shared with the owner for feedback, and together we refined the visuals through multiple rounds of revision. Every iteration brought the brand closer to the look and feel she had envisioned.

As the visuals evolved, so did the owner’s understanding of brand strategy and consistency. I guided her through how cohesive design could strengthen recognition and how thoughtful content could better reach her audience.

By the end of the project, Afro Puff Treats had transformed from a small business with an idea into a brand with a clear visual presence. These efforts contributed to increased engagement and the growth of her Instagram community by more than 100 new followers, helping her connect with customers in a more meaningful way.
